Do the powers that be in your hospital also require this post c/sec? If
not, you may want to point that if a mom can bf after general anesthesia
post c/sec, later postpartum anesthesia is less of a concern. Obviously the
anesthesiologist needs to be aware that mom is bfing. Also point out that
pediatric surgeries require anesthesia - and that is a more serious exposure
than through mom's milk! They need to be looking at the risks from both
sides of the coin - ABM exposure as well.
