My first impression is that it sounds like she has mastitis!You don't
have to have discernable lumps and/or engorgement to have mastitis.Altho
you don't mention her having any flu-like symptoms, fever, etc.
If she is still leaking spontaneously, maybe she did not get her Milk
supply down all the way, as she apparently thought she did.And even if
she is doing a very minimal amt. of expressing, enough milk production
could still be occurring to cause some plugged ducts, then mastitis.
Or maybe she just has plugged ducts at this point, but mastitis is
around the corner.
I have had probably a half dozen bouts of mastitis , and I never really
had any discernable lumps.
