Here's what I read yesterday (Sat. Jan. 20), in the Family section of
Cleveland's largest newspaper, "The Plain Dealer". (page E 1)

"Hot Tips" (this in bold, prefacing the article on the first page)...

"Most healthy preschool children do not need vitamin supplements.
Doctors usually recommend them when children are not growing well or
do not absorb nutrients efficiently.

Babies may need vitamins immediately after birth; their breast-
feeding mothers often are advised to keep taking prenatal vitamins.
Because breast milk is deficient in vitamins A,D, and C, infants may
be given them in a trivitamin suppplement."

I read these things, and feel a sinking feeling in the bottom of my
stomach!  There is so much misinformation out there.

I'm sending them an e-mail.  If you have a chance, maybe you could
