Jon's right. We didn't know that x-rays caused cancer at first. My mother was
never told that smoking was harmful when she began smoking in the 1930's. My
dad received cigarettes along with his food in the field rations during WWII.
Car seats were a new idea when my oldest child was a baby - we used a car bed
in the back of the van during trips. The car seat we bought in 1971 was
flimsy and would never pass the test now. I had to write excuses for my kids
to not take the milk in their school lunches - they are allergic, and it took
a doctor's note each year to fight off the milk pushers. When I stopped
drinking milk I learned what normal bowel movements were like, and learned
that constant headaches and stuffed-up sinuses weren't normal.

Wonder what we are now saying that will turn our wrong during the next 5
years?
