Forgive me I missed some original posts on not using 'brand' names on
LACTNET.  I thought that was not permitted from the beginning.  I wondered
why from the beginning, but didn't think to ask.

I subscribe to 6 other lists - 4 of them medical.  The professionals on those
lists always discuss their instruments and machines with the complete name.
 I wonder why we can't do that here?

If this question has been answered, please ignore me!  I can plow through the
digests for the answer.
