A mom I see has very large nipples which make her baby gag when he is latched
on correctly. He is four weeks old and turns his lower lip in in order tp
control the nipple. He really gags and struggles to get off when latched on
correctly. It is not due to mom's let down. She has very sore nipples. Any
ideas on positions or solutions for this pair?

Subject: large nipples

I have a mother one month postpartum having difficulty with sore nipples.
Her nipples are very large and gag the baby when he is latched on correctly.
Any ideas on positions or solutions to this problem? The baby really
struggles when he is latched on correctly. He compensates by tucking his
lower lip in, thus mom's sore nipples.
