Fiona,
If the mom would pump or return to breastfeeding on the breast with the
incision, the milk would exit the nipple, and the pressure in the breast would
be releived, decreasing the leaking.  I read somewhere that the milk seeks to
exit through the path of least resistence, being the nipple if mom is
breastfeeding, or the incision if she is not.
