I just received a fax of an article that appeared in yesterday's (December 5,
1995) USA Today. The title is "In a reversal, bottle-feeding gets a bad rap."
Unfortunately, any of the good parts are outweighed by more references to
breastfeeding advocates as a cult, bottle-fed babies doing just fine,
breastfeeding disasters, and guilt. The author of the book "Bottle-feeding
Without Guilt" is interviewed. So is the author of a book called, "The
Girlfriends' Guide to Pregnancy" whose quote ends the article with where to
get support if you are bottle-feeding - from your mother and her friends.
"They think breastfeeding went out with Ellis Island."

I will be composing the fifth letter to the editor of my day today in
response to this gem.
