For Mary:

Whatever the alternate supplementing method used, most babies get "?
confused" (as opposed to nipple confused). Those babies get confused with
anything if they go to long without being at the breast. The best way I know
to supplement and to "buy time" is using a supplementing device but it can
only be used if the baby latches on...From what I understood this baby did
latch on but what not sucking well. In this case, a supplementing device
would probably be the best if used properly...Suck training can work well if
the baby responds well and does not become frustrated.
