Finally, I heard from the mom who was originally dx with ringworm.  Thank you
all who responded.  She was being seen by an HMO physician and had to *beg*
for a referral to a dermatologist. Thus the delay in tx, as she did not want
to go out of the system.  After a complete exam including fungal smear it was
determined she did not have ringworm afterall.  That what she had was an
allergic reaction to Cephalixin that she had been on prior for a bladder
infection.  She is so relieved! . And I am most grateful to those of you that
offered assistance!
