Dear friends:
My partner wants me to ask your advice for a desperate mother. The baby is 7
weeks old and mother wants to get out. Baby refuses all bottles. She has
tried various nipples. Baby has an exaggerated gag reflex, to the point of
throwing up when a pacifier is offered. She did chew on one nipple. Dad is
feeling left out. Mom can't go anywhere without worrying. She would like to
have a solution for her peace of mind.
We are going to tell her to try leaving her husband with a cloth diaper with
some expressed milk, suggest sipper cup or regular cup-feeding, and may
suggest the Haber... feeder if all else fails.
We realize that the easiest thing may be to take the child along but know
that this mother needs some practical advice. Please let me know if you have
found a solution to this situation.
Thanks in advance (TIA),
