Capri, I'm looking, I'm looking . . .so far have rounded up one:'The effects
of Maternal Epidural Anesthesia on Neonatal Behavior during the first Month';
Sepkoski, Lester, Ostheimer, Brazelton; Developmental Medicine and Child
Neurology, 1992, 34, 1072-1080. I somewhere have another from Jack Newman's
Breastfeeding Clinic in Canada, and what they've noticed in regards to
infants who don't latch on, and epidurals & analgesia being an underlying
common denominator.
And of course, 'Effect of delivery room routines on success or first
breastfeed";Rigard & Alade, The Lancet, Vol 336, 1105 - 1107, Nov 3, 1990,
and the 6 Minute Video for Dr. Righard's Delivery Self Attachment.
Can't find where I put my syllabus from ILCA's 93 Conference in Scottsdate,
there was a session on Maternal analgesia & anesthesia on Breastfeeding
outcomes, and there was a host of references listed. When I track these
other's down I'll post them.
