This malformation consists of micrognathia (small or posteriorly
positioned mandible), upper airway obstruction and cleft palate.
Depending on the severity of the malformation and the anatomy of the
mother's nipples, breastfeeding feeding may be very difficult. The mother
may find a supplemental nursing system helpful.
