 Dear Rachel
Re: Headaches and Br. feeding. Ginna Wall at the U.of Wa.I think was doing a
study a couple years ago with Migraines and breastfeeding. I don't know if the
study is finished or not but I certainly have heard of many mothers that have
headaches. Ginna, are you finished with the study ? In Lawrence 4th Ed. page 532
lactation headaches are discussed with a case history of a mother with headaches
starting at 32 weeks gestation. A C.Section was done at 32 + weeks due to the
headaches and facial edema. The headaches stopped but then returned when the
infant was about 1 month old and started after about 2 minutes into the
breastfeeding session .The mother weaned the infant and the headaches stopped.
