Diane Herforth's nighttime bottle scenario isn't too far off what we
actually did our first 3 nights home.  Baby would wake in the other room.
Dad would get out of bed, get the baby, hand him to mom to nurse on one
side (10 minutes by the watch, read by night light).

Dad would get out of bed, take baby to the bathroom to change him, bring
him back to mom to nurse on the other side.  When baby was finished, dad
would get out of bed to return baby to the other room.  That's 3 times out
of bed for dad every time baby woke... and you can guess how many total
trips out of bed every night.  You can also guess where baby was after 3
nights of that!
