I am tickled to read that I'm not the only one becoming more and
more fascinated by herbs. Lisa's post was verrrry interesting.
Except for raspberry, which apparently is an oxytocic according
to my resource, all other she mentioned (Blessed Thistle, Nettle
& Fenugreek) are either bitters/tonics (improving digestion by
getting those old gastric secretions going), diaphoretics (make
you sweat out the bad stuff) or diuretics (make you pee), or
combinations (as in bitter and diuretic). Again, all seem to get
some "juice" or another going. Just for the heck of it, I looked
up atropine in the Israeli drug book, and it was stated that it
may "dry up" milk. What a surprise! Would someone else comment on
the body juices? I have this craving to simplify.....maybe my
life is too hectic?
Love y'all. Judy Knopf in Beer Sheva, Israel
