A mother suffering from migraines has been prescribed Medrin to be taken as
follows:
2 tab at onset of migraine, 1 per hour thereafter, not to exceed 5 tabs in 12
hours. Ingredients are:
325 mg acetaminophen
65 mg isometheptene mucate
100 mg dichloralpheazone
Baby is 3 weeks old, exclusively breastfed. Dr. suggests weaning for 24
hours if meds are taken. Mom is suffering through headache, rather than take
meds and wean. Dr. is willing to listen to suggestions of alternatives, or
info on safety of bf with this med.
Dr. Hale, do you have plans for a 5th edition? What color will it be?
Thank you.
