I have a client who will be having embryos implanted when her nursing
daughter (now 16 months old) will be 19 1/2 mo.
She'll be given an injection of 10,000 units of HCG (trade name
Profasi) before the procedure, then (optional but strongly recommended)
50 mg/day of a natural progesterone in suppository form, for 6-13 weeks.
Any problems for the toddler?
Right now, her daughter nurses several times a day, frequently at night,
and enjoys a wide range of solids.
TIA,
Diane Wiessinger, MS, IBCLC, LLLL Ithaca, NY
