Hi everyone!
This comes from FIRST (for women) magazine, issue dated 11-6-95.
Page 58 - "Food Facts" by Dr.Chris Rosenbloom, a spokesperson for the
American Dietetic Association:
Question: Why do we all love candy and sweet treats so much?
Answer: The taste of our mother's breast milk leads many of us to a lifetime
of loving
sweets. As children, we learn to associate sweets with good feelings. But
scientifically, speaking, we feel good because eating sugary treats
temporarily
raises our blood sugar, providing a kind of euphoria.

Cancer protection. Although studies are conflicting on whether breasf-feeding
protects women against breast cancer, recent research reveals that women who
were breast-fed as infants are 30 percent less likely to develop the disease.
The
reason? Researchers suspect it might be the natural hormones in mother's
milk.
