Dear Rosemarie: Your approach seems to be good. I believe that a baby
who is too sleepy to latch well and has a weak suck may still be fed
colostrum by spoon. The mother could hand express it directly into the
spoon. This, of course, would not be safe if the baby is not rousable,
but you stated that you got this one to respond. What do the LC's on
this list think about this?
