Hi Catherine,

Wasn't "my" mom - Eliz. Glasser was an actress who really campaigned hard
against AIDS after she contracted the virus from contaminated blood given
during an emergency C/Section for hemorrhaging.  Her daughter, whom she bf,
contracted HIV (presumably through the breastmilk) and subsequently died,
though it wasn't until after her son was born whom she also bf.  The little
boy has not, to my knowledge, contracted AIDS, though Ms. Glasser recently
died from it.  I think her story was the first that has given possible
credence to transmission of HIV through breastmilk.
