I have been corresponding with a mom who is having problems with
persistent blocked ducts. Her baby is 4 months old, and she has
breastfed 3 previous children without difficulty (I don't know how long).
She has a white patch visible on the surface of the nipples at all times
since six weeks postpartum and blocked ducts at least 2-4 times per week.
She has tried a change of diet in respect to fats, has tried lecithin,
and is still off coffee.
This mother has already has abscess drainage and scar tissue on one breast.
Her name is Lee, and she is on her husband's id at [log in to unmask] (in
Castle Hill, NSW, Australia). She has gotten some responses from us at
Parent-L, but I am hopeful that someone might have more experience with
this situation.
