Lactnetters,
I saw in the Journal of Human Lactation that there is need for a public
member on the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE)
Board. The person would represent the interests of the public, cannot be a
member of the certifying profession, should be a parent of bf children.
Professions such as ethics and politics were mentioned as appropriate for
this board member.
Wouldn't an anthropologist, a lawyer, a father, etc be a great board member?
Several members of our distinguished lactnet group would surely qualify.
Just thought I'd pass this info along.

p.s. Glad you are back, Dr. Dettwyler. I enjoy and learn from ALL the
postings on lactnet, even if I disagree with some at times - always serves to
broaden our minds, see all sides of an issue.
