Debbie,
I applaud your efforts to re-educate military hospital personnel! Almost 9
years ago my first daughter (I have 3) was born at Naval Hospital
Jacksonville and I planned on breastfeeding. She needed to be placed under
the warmer quite a bit and the staff gave her bottles or pacifiers whenever
she fussed. Needless to say she was very nipple confused and we never did
get it right although I pumped for 6 weeks and gave it in a bottle. I am now
a LLL Leader and on a crusade against all artificial nipples! Keep up the
good work!
