I had chicken pox when I was 6 months pregnant with my son. (my oldest
brought it home from school and the rest of the kids and I got it 10 days
later) I had been exposed many times throughout my life and assumed I was
immune. I am the youngest of 4 children and no one remembered if I had it
as a child. Aside from thinking I was going to die-I was never so sick in
my life!!- my very "old school" pediatrician suggested that the baby might
be immune, since we both had it together. Well, he had a pretty average
case when he was about 4 Years old.
Point here being that if HE wasn't immune I can't imagine that one would be
immune even with the immunities passed on while bf-except perhaps the first
few months of life. I think I read that was the case. What do you all think?
