No this is not David Elliott, its Carole Elliott. I posted an
introduction a few days ago, but know so little about this type of
communication, I don't know if it went anywhere! When I logged on the
next day to my messaget wasn't there - should it have been there
for me to see? Anyway I'm not reintroducing my self except to say that
I love reading this stuff, and am amazed at the wide range of opinions .
I do have to say one thing before I get onto the subject. Re the
discussion on guilt and the request for references. I don't think we
should be making any "public" statements unless we personally can
give a reference that we have read in its entirity, (ie just citing
the reference is no good, as the actual study article whatever
may be unconvincing) I don't mean to
sound critical Rachel, but if we compain that formula, and some
hospital based practises are unresearched, then we need make sure we
can back up our own statements. I know that all you said was true,
but it's much stronger when referenced. I also feel that using postive
words for breastfeeding, rather than negative words for bottle feeding
ie (dumber) is more likely to allow our message to be heard. Onto the
subject. I would like to hear from anyone who has used moist wound
healing, with what etc. I would love to have a general discussion re
this, but if you would prefer, you can Email me at:

hospital, and in a private clinic but as far as I know not many people
in this area are using MWH in their practice - including me!) Carole
