Ellen Vegh and other LLLL.
Reading yourcomments gave me an idea of how we could more easily share info
between LC and LLLL. You already have a helping relationship, when you
refer the mom on to the LC, make an arrangement to be involved with all their
interactions, watch and listen. Share privately with the LC your reactions.
I usually send a copy of my report to the LLLL or CB instructor who refers
(and to the hospital lc) I would be delighted to work in greater depth. It
is important to have clear roles, if the mom has been refered to the LC, the
LLLL needs to say very little while observing. It can be very distressing to
a client to be between a disagreement of the people who are currently most
helpful to her. And none of us do everything the same.
