Has anyone seen the CNN report on late this evening on milk allergies in
breastfed babies? It is pretty bad. It notes the incidence of milk
allergies as about 2% to 7% of all babies, then shows a mother who had to
search out every speck of whey or casein in her diet to permit her to
continue breastfeeding, and then concludes with her feeding the baby a
hypoallergenic formula, without any explanation of why she gave up
breastfeeding. The implication being that it is just too much trouble for
a mother to modify her diet that much just to continue breastfeeding. I'd
like to write, but I'd first like to see some informed medical opinion
from the list. BTW, if anyone has the e-mail address for CNN Headline
News, would you please post to the list.
