Linda I hope this helps some I am quoting from my notes @ LLL Int confrence
in session on Viral Transmission. discussion by Lawrence M Gartner.
There is no contraindication to breestfeeding in an imunized infant. Hep C
usually blood or blood products some other ie Drug use, seldom sexually
transmitted. The BIG exception to this is if Mom is HIV pos and hepatitis C
pos then transmission is much more likely. There are 6 studys of HIV neg.
breastfeeding moms Hep C + only 2 of 130 infants infected.

I am not a Dr. so best I can do is repeat what I got from session, did anyone
else attend this session? If you need more info Linda E mail and I will
either snail mail outline with notes or email at least biblio..
