Marie, hopefully by the time you read this, those moms won't need it anymore.
Poor moms!

You might try some back massage with them--have them sit down and lay their
heads on a table so their breasts hang down (I started to type "in front" and it
occured to me there wasn't any other "where" to hang....<grin>) freely. Massage
the back right between the shoulder blades. That often will get milk flowing.

Also, try alternating heat and cold packs, ending up with heat right before
pumping, and cold afterwards. By the way, disposable diapers make great
compresses--you can pour hot water or even icy water/freeze them. They can be
molded around the breast and taped in place with the tabs that come on them.

Perhaps being where they can hear water flowing?? (Make sure they go to the
bathroom, first!! Reminds me of my biology teaching days when I would do a "wet"
lab that involved hands in water. Had to make sure they went to the bathroom
first....)

Good luck!
