Hello fellow Netters not at the conference,
I have a few questions I need help with .
First Question:
I have a client who had breast reduction surgery in 1992. She wants to know
if she can still breastfeed. She is 6 1/2 mo preg., and has not leaked any
colostrom. She has had some breast changes due to pregnancy (enlargement and
tenderness). Providing that no mammary glands were removed, are there any
probs with breast feeding? Also, if some glands were removed, can she still
breast feed with what's left?
Next question:
Can Nicorette gum (a gum to help smokers stop) be used during pregnancy?
Can it be used during BF?
Last question:
Any ideas why BF babies seem to be bigger than ABM fed babies? It seems to me
that, in my area anyway, the BF babies seem to be bigger. Any studies to
corrolate with this or is it just coincidence? (My first so was BF only, but
was very small, 25th % of averages. My second son is BF only and is in the
92nd% of averages.)
Thanks all!
Janet
