Hopefully, the reference was to the new "purified" lanolins, "Purelan" by
Medela and "Lansinoh" by Lansinoh Laboratories. "Regular" lanolin has a
higher propensity to trigger sensitivities in some people, and there have
been concerns, especially in Australia, for contaminants such as
pesticides that could conceivably be passed to baby. Of the two purified
products, Lansinoh is the original and the highest grade (I believe that
they are 1% different), while Purelan is slight less pure and also less
expensive. "Moist Wound Healing" was first popularized from an article
done using Lansinoh with several women. Anyone care to add?
