My first thought was that this nurse probably does not have an advanced
degree, maybe is an associate degree or diploma grad.  There's such conflict
within the nursing profession re whether to consider nurses without at least
a BSN to be professionals--I wondered if she was reacting to Yaffa's
master's?

If not, though, I'll bet all the other nurses on the unit will be eternally
grateful for your expertise.   Working with a poor feeder and/or an anxious
new mom is so time-consuming for busy staff nurses that usually they're
delighted to have someone else assume that responsibility.
