Not just the docs. The formula rep for that nameless formula above holds
little contests on our unit to award L____-F___ t-shirts. The nurses are
encouraged to put the names of moms who choose the formula into a "pot," from
which the rep draws a name. Both nurse and mom receive one of these
wonderful gifts. Doesn't this make you proud of our materialistic society?
(I've talked to my boss and my boss's boss about keeping this little hussy
off the unit--rep says she has to be there to bring in her literature for the
formula-feeding moms. I say the stuff can come from materiel handling like
all other supplies. So far, no luck. Send "be strong" thoughts my way,
please. Baby Friendly status seems far, far away sometimes.)
