Yes, yes, yes - how well I remember!  Torrey was born in '78 in the Detroit
area, we happily breastfed, and she doesn't seem too much the worse for wear
(too social, but that's about it).  But we went through a lot of hysteria
from women who delivered in the birthing center from '79 on, including one of
our own FBC nurses.  Still managed a 98.7% bf rate though.
