Sharon,

Thank you for sharing our friend's short-term BF experience...I totally
agree with you and would like to give anyone who nursed any length of time
(short OR long) an enormous hug. We can't change our past, and I, for one,
am past the time when I'd like to try it with another child (the factory's
closed anyway, gang) despite all the experience and 'wisdom' (?) I've
acquired over the years.

To me, the MOST important thing is where we are at THIS moment in time, and
what we plan to do with our well grounded knowledge and caring attitude.
Heck, this gal who nursed a relatively short time may be able to assist and
be more sympathetic to a first-time mom than some of us
Methusela-Breastfeeders who are fighting for a place in Ripley's Believe it
or Not! This is not a competition, this is a profession that deals with
people, and as such, knows each case, each baby and each mom are unique.

Opps, I just fellllllllll off the soapbox!

Roberta
