I am not sure which context "emptying the breast" is used.  With pumping I
usually encourage moms to pump until they are "to the point of diminishing
returns."  I do explain multiple MERs and describe this point as when it no
longer is worth the time or energy to pump any longer.  Many health care
professionals do use the "Empty breast" term.  I try to explain to moms that
there will always be one more drop and since the blood in the breast makes
the milk, the only way to empty the breast is to drain the blood. Linda Pohl
