Marie,

I agree with your comments.  I have been using gloves in my practice
for about 3 years.  After an initial period of getting accustomed to
the feel and learning how to put them on snugly, I have become very
comfortable making assessments while wearing gloves.  I think floor
nurses went through much the same thing when they first started having
to wear gloves while inserting IV's and when caring for unbathed
newborns.  The world is changing and I think we have to adapt.  I join
those of us who have said they would not want to lose one of us because
we didn't want to wear gloves.
