Greetings to all on the Lactnet. I have been lurking by accident
rather than by design since my messages kept coming back to me or
going off to the netherlands of cyberspace.
I am an IBCLC in full time private practice in Ottawa, Ontario
Canada. My background is medical laboratory sciences and until
January of this year I was a Registered Medical Technologis.
My practice has progressed to the point of not needing my other
career to fall back on ... it is full steam ahead in lactation
consulting work. To ward off burnout from continuous crisis
intervention I have been working as a research assistant in the
areas of infant nutrition and (of course) breastfeeding.
I will be in Scottsdale for the ILCA conference and look forward
to our Lactnet get together.

Sorry I missed out on the T-shirt, I am a novice at the 'net.,
if it was not for my dear colleague Joan Fisher who printed out
information and haranged my to mail it in I would still be
procrastinating.

Kathleen, Please put a dot for me on Ottawa, Ontario Canada.

I have stayed up 'till 3:30 a.m. to get through the 335 messages
on my mailbox ... I hope digest is easier to cope with.
Goodnight all.

Lana Matthews IBCLC
