Not being an LC, or ever planning to, I'm not as familiar with some of the
standards and norms used. So I have a question. If one has completed one
or more lactation consultant courses and received a "Certificate of
Completion" can one say on one's Curriculum Vita/Resume that one is a
"Certified Lactation Consultant"? Or is "Certified Lactation Consultant"
supposed to be limited to those who have passed the IBCLC Exam? Is there
another term for those who have passed the exam, or do you just call
yourself "Certified Lactation Consultant" and put IBCLC after your names?
Or do you say "Board Certified Lactation Consultant" or even "Certified by
the Board of International Lactation Consultants" or something else?
Curious for a reason.....
