In response to Karen Lemieux's concerns about some of the things on
LACTNET, perhaps she (and any others with similar feelings) could simply be
more selective about what--from LACTNET--you choose to share. I suspect
that some of the humorous things might actaully break the ice with the
"unbelievers," but then you know your audience better than I.
The point is: LACTNET has many virtues and strengths. Some will be more
valued than others and a few might not be valued except by a very select
few. But, like a smorgasbord table loaded down with a variety of foods, it
is there for us to sample and share as we choose. No one expects you all
to take all of it in, though a few voracious readers will.
Use what works for you; save the rest for another day, another audience...
:-)
Def. of LC service: "We are all faced with a series of great opportunities
brilliantly disguised as impossible situations."
