Elisa:
I thought you might enjoy this little tidbit from Ohio. Last year when the
Rubens exhibit was in Toledo, a mother was escorted out of the reading room
for breastfeeding her baby there. The Museum said that no food or beverages
were allowed in the exhibit as they were afraid that the paintings would be
damaged. (I wonder how many FF babies were expelled for eating around the
paintings). As I reflect on my experiences watching the FF babies in our
clinic waiting area, I have yet to seee a baby grab its mother by the nipple
and wing her into the wall --I sure have seen some bottles fly around,
though!!
For the record, the museum did change its policy about breastfeeding, but not
until there was a loud protest!!

p.s. One newspaper reporter referred to it as "felonious breastfeeding in
public"
