HI all,

As for this new pump, I for one did get to use it first hand, they have
improved the flanges by using the A/E bottle system, the directions for
assembly leave quite a bit to be desired (haven't changed since my trial 2
years ago). Got to play with and try to explain about pumps a little bit at
a IBCLC exam study group a few weeks ago. It does have some possiblities,
but only if mom is properly instructed in assembly and use (how to avoid
prolonged suction --- sore nipples) this is not a true automatic pump (it is
a diaphram pump) but for a mom with a good let down, it may be worlds better
than the modified fish pump motor from g-----r.

As for other pumps by being a nursing mom on and off over the last 8 years I
believe I have tried and probably own most readily available pumps on the
market (good and bad). I have a talk that I have given a number of times (to
supervisory nursing personnel & anyone else who will listen) on how to
evaluate breast pumps and how to match the pump to moms needs (if she really
need one at all). I probably shouldnt say this since I do rent pumps from
the biggies but there are a number of times that I talk moms out of pumps &
get down to and solve the real problem.

If anyone wants further info or has specific pump questions they can send
them to me via private e-mail & I'd be glad to help.

PS: Welcome Sherri, I 'm so glad your on the net, look out the discussions
get wild & wooly. And the volume of mail seems overwhelming but well worth
the time it takes to read them.
