Ok all you hospital based LC's out there. My small rural hospital
is thinking of starting a home visit program for post partum moms
and babies to complement their whirlwind hospital stay (myself
and two others are trying to get it approved). It would include
any nursing care or check up type stuff, weight checks, BF
assistance, you name it. Also we are thinking of starting an
out-patient clinic for new moms and babies for weight checks
and help with BF. If anyone out there has policies, procedures,
or proposals they would like to share with me I'd greatly
appreciate it. We do about 400 deliveries a year and are in
a rural area so think accordingly. I wish I could pay for
them, but right now I don't have two nickels to rub together but
I do have copies of my famous slides yet!
