Hi Becky,
I thought I recognized your name,,Are you in WALC? I am in Madison,
WI...and the breast variation you mention is documented. It certainly is
possible that the woman has poorly developed breast tissue...especially if
she experienced neither breast hypertrophy in pregnancy nor engorgement
postpartum. Who knows why...but I have found references about this
phenomenon, as I tend to talk alot about breast exam/prenatal evaluation
when I speak. My stuff is in my office--feel free to call me 608-437-3064
any time--Anne Eglash, MD
