For a long time I resisted sitting for IBLCE--partly because I was an RN and
had lots of hospital and lots of LLLI experience. Why did I need to sit an
exam?! Read some stuff on assurance to public safety re: that at least a
certain level of competence is demonstrated by taking an independent exam.
Voila--a sound argument. I was in the exam room before you could say "sore
nipples"!
