Dear Anne and Robyn,
I participated in a study of normal thyroid levels when I was pregnant in
1970 and lived on a military base in Virginia, USA. A technician took blood
once a week through my pregnancy. I never learned of the overall results, but
they found that my levels dropped significantly early in the day that I went
into labor. No explanation or even a theory why. I wish I'd known then that
I would become a lactation consultant - would have followed the results more
closely!
