I am familiar with the article your are referring to. There have been many
pro breastfeeding articles written in the Catholic community. You may also
want to look into:
Wirpsa, Leslie. Breast-fed infants more likely to survive, thrive: *National
Catholic Reporter* June 3, 1994; v30 n31 p13
Abstract: Breast milk is a world resource under threat from infant formula
marketing. It is ummunoligically and nutritionally superior to formula, and
should be encouraged by all governments.
Editorial, Successful breast-feeding requires cultural change. *National
Catholic Reporter* June 3, 1994 v30 n31 p24.
Abstract: *Mother-friendly* workplaces, which allow breastfeeding or
milk-expressing breaks, are an essential part of women's rights/child welfare
advocacy. The health interests of infants should override social barriers to
breastfeeding.
