Submitting 1 of 2 Q's from a Phoenix IBCLC w/no computer: Does anyone have info
re a totally bf baby getting salmonella? Baby is now 7 mos old, started having
diarrhea around Easter. Mom finally took him to doctor 3 wks later & diagnosis
was made. Dr recommended she stop bf until the illness cleared and use
Pedialyte instead. Mom refused. Baby is now on antibiotics & improving. The
only thing mom can figure is baby must have sucked on an Easter egg (I would
think mom would see the dye on baby's mouth, but my info is 2nd-hand).
Any good alternatives to antibiotics?
