I was at a great breastfeeding conference this weekend and a question was
posed that left everyone puzzled. I throw it out to you.
First time mom established breastfeeding but found that everytime she
nursed she had overwhelming feelings of anger at her child. Not feelings
of being tied down, true anger. She chose to pump and feed and
experienced the same feelings while pumping. She quit. THe feelings
totally went away. Several questions were asked about this situation.
The mother was not in anyother way "depressed" or exhibiting any signs of
other instability. She was very upset to stop nursing but saaw no choice.
I can contact the person who presented the case if more information is
needed. Has anyone heard of this or have any comments?
Thank you, Robin Hollen
